Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated Process Metallurgist for a permanent foundry role on the shop floor. You will develop and improve process capabilities to boost productivity and quality, with MAGMASOFT experience valued.

This hands-on position reports into a stable, long-standing team within a national metals group. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, 5+ years in a foundry, CAD skills, and a track record in managing manufacturing projects while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a foundry environment, focusing on process capabilities and process control.
• Experience in project management within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in CAD for design purposes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Continuous improvement mindset and staying updated with industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Utilize process capabilities and process control to monitor and maintain process integrity.
• Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Oversee project management from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve complex foundry issues.
• Ensure all foundry operations comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the foundry team.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in foundry operations.
