Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Permanent Foundry Engineer in the United States. You will develop and optimize foundry processes, manage improvement projects, and ensure quality and safety across operations.

Expect hands-on involvement, collaboration with floor teams, and a focus on continuous improvement in a precision aluminum and magnesium foundry. You will lead initiatives to enhance productivity, apply process control methods, and design rigging/fixtures to improve efficiency while maintaining regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a foundry environment with focus on process capabilities and rigging/fixture design.
• Experience leading projects within manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in CAD and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Monitor process capabilities and control to maintain manufacturing integrity.
• Design and implement rigging and fixtures to improve operations.
• Oversee project planning, coordination, and execution from start to finish.
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot foundry issues and ensure safety compliance.
• Audit and inspect machinery to ensure optimal performance and maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance to the foundry team and promote continuous improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices.
