Job summary

Jobot is seeking a passionate permanent Foundry Engineer to join our Iowa-based manufacturing team. You will develop and improve foundry processes, manage projects, and ensure quality and safety in a precision casting environment serving aerospace and automotive clients.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, at least five years in foundry operations, and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a foundry environment with focus on process capabilities, process control, and rigging/fixture design.
• Proficient in CAD software for design purposes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Utilize process capabilities and process control to monitor and maintain process integrity.
• Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Oversee project management from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve complex foundry issues.
