Job summary

Precision Castparts in Mentor, OH is seeking dependable Foundry Operators for 4th shift. This hands‑on role offers training, competitive pay based on experience, and a safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum furnaces, including Equiax, DS, and Single Crystal furnaces.
• Record all required production and process data accurately.
• Assist with furnace setup and changeovers (DS susceptors, coils, melt coils).
• Follow SOPs and engineering specs and special lot instructions.
• Meet established production and efficiency goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Develop understanding of foundry processes and materials.
• Organize work to support efficient production flow.

Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Week 1

Work: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Off: Wednesday, Thursday

Week 2

Work: Wednesday, Thursday

Off: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

• Assist with furnace setup and changeovers, including D.S. susceptors, coils, and melt coils
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering specifications, and special lot instructions

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
• Develop a strong understanding of foundry processes and materials

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience

• Manufacturing or foundry experience preferred
