Job summary

Precision Castparts in Mentor, OH, is seeking dependable Foundry Operators for a 5th shift. The role offers hands-on training, competitive pay based on experience, and a safety-focused environment with comprehensive benefits.

The position provides full-time hours on a rotating schedule, with 42-hour average weeks and built-in stretches of days off. Experience with vacuum furnaces and high-temperature processes is a plus, and a strong mechanical aptitude is encouraged.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education)
  • Manufacturing or foundry experience preferred
  • Experience with industrial equipment or high-temperature processes is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate vacuum furnaces including Equiax, Directional Solidification (D.S.), and Single Crystal furnaces
  • Record all required production and process data accurately
  • Assist with furnace setup and changeovers, including D.S. susceptors, coils, and melt coils
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering specifications, and special lot instructions
  • Meet established production and efficiency goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
  • Develop a strong understanding of foundry processes and materials
  • Organize work to support efficient production flow
  • Perform other duties as assigned

5th Shift Schedule

Hours: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Week 1

Work: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Off: Wednesday, Thursday

Week 2

Work: Wednesday, Thursday

Off: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
