Job summary

Franklin Precision Castings is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our foundry equipment, machinery, and facility operating safely and efficiently on the 3rd shift in Franklin, PA.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, repair production equipment, and document work orders to support a high‑quality manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing, and reaching.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Shift schedule: 3rd shift schedule (Sun–Thu; 9:00 PM–5:00 AM).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on foundry equipment, machinery, and facility systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues
• Maintain and service production equipment such as furnaces, compressors, pumps, conveyors, grinders, and other industrial machinery
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and support production needs
• Complete work orders and document repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts usage accurately
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, safety concerns, or potential failures
• Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of machinery or production equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance shop and work environment
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and production teams to prioritize repairs and improvements
• Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and quality standards
