Job summary

Metal Technologies in Auburn, Indiana, seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to service and repair plant equipment including foundry systems and furnaces. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance and read schematics to locate faults.

Three years of industrial maintenance experience is required, with green sand foundry knowledge preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; journeyman training is a plus. Candidates must supply common tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of green sand foundry practices preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Industrial Maintenance courses/journeyman preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair foundry related systems and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Ensure all work areas remain clean and free of safety hazards.
• Performs preventive maintenance in accordance with required program.
• Operates a variety of standard hand tools and power tools (drills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc.) and other related equipment (welding) to make necessary repairs.
• Install machinery and electrical systems to support a variety of foundry related equipment.
• Read and understand schematics, blueprints, manuals, etc. to perform required work.
• Required to inspect the premises regularly, conduct routine maintenance, perform repairs when necessary.
• Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Comply with all safety and PPE requirements as identified in plant protocols.
• May be assigned other duties as needed.
