Job summary

Garage Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Founding Technical Recruiter in New York to build Engineering, Product, and Design teams as the company scales. You will own searches end to end, create pipelines from scratch, and drive a fast, thoughtful process to attract top technical talent.

Work closely with the CTO and leaders to push hiring quality and scale the recruiting ecosystem with modern tools like Ashby and AI assistants. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle experience in hiring technical talent for software engineering, design, product development, and data science.
• Strong network with NYC startup talent market.
• Ability to close talent with culture fit and high ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle hiring across engineering, product, design, and data science with founders.
• Build targeted sourcing strategies using outbound, referrals, and technical communities.
• Run structured recruiting processes from screening to offer with a great candidate experience.
• Track pipeline health and scale recruiting systems and playbooks.
• Help grow the recruiting team as the company expands.
