Job summary

Success Academy Florida in Miami seeks a Founding Teacher to help launch SA’s rigorous, joyful K-12 program in a new Florida community. No prior education background is required, but applicants must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and ready to teach in person in Miami.

You will join a founding team tasked with establishing culture, routines, and academic excellence from day one. You will work with a cohort of teachers to build a school community rooted in excellence, accountability, and student

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy; a background in education is not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for learning and commitment to student development.
• Ability to work in person in Miami, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Ambassador of SA Winning Adult Culture: collaborate with colleagues and leaders, seek and apply feedback to strengthen instruction and outcomes.
• Scholar & Family Engagement: engage families in students’ academic growth and build strong relationships with students and a classroom culture of joy, rigor, and high expectations.
• Content Study and Instruction: deeply study the SA curriculum, read texts, complete problems, and deliver rigorous instruction.
• Evaluation, Assessment, and Continuous Improvement: study student work, reflect on results, and provide timely, actionable feedback.
• Classroom Management: lead and manage a classroom of 25+ students and enforce routines and expectations.
