Job summary

Magic in New York is seeking its first talent hire to own hiring end-to-end as we scale from dozens to many hires across engineering, design, and GTM. You will source via outbound and referrals, build interview steps and job descriptions, and shape how we make decisions.

You will lead a high-touch candidate experience, manage schedules and logistics, and work with recruiting agencies. This in-person role is based in SoHo with equity and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle recruiting experience at startups and hypergrowth companies.
• Owned hiring for roles independently without a large team.
• Experience hiring both engineering and GTM roles; AI tooling knowledge.
• Outbound sourcing and strong follow-up skills.
• High agency, always networking.

Responsibilities

• Own hiring for every role, from sourcing to close.
• Source candidates via outbound and referrals; keep pipelines full.
• Build our hiring process: interview steps, job descriptions, decisions.
• Help managers decide what to look for in new roles.
• Run a high-touch candidate experience: scheduling, onsite logistics, follow-ups, references.
• Keep team accountable for fast feedback.
• Work with recruiting agencies.
• Shape hiring brand and recruiting events later on.
