People & Talent Lead: Build Our Hiring Engine

DiligenceSquared, a YC-backed AI-native consulting firm, is seeking a Talent & People Lead in New York to shape our growing people function. You will personally source candidates, run hiring processes across consulting, GTM, engineering and operations, and manage day-to-day people operations as the team expands.

You will partner with founders to define roles, create a strong candidate experience, and ensure a smooth onboarding process from day one.

Qualifications

• You have at least five years of recruiting experience, with a hands-on track record.
• You can own searches from start to finish and close exceptional candidates.
• Hands-on execution with several searches without losing momentum or attention to detail.
• Excellent communication to candidates and hiring managers, building trust and credibility for the company.
• Discretion, maturity and high initiative when handling sensitive information and deadlines.
• Fluency with AI tools to improve research, preparation and administration while using judgment in decisions.

Responsabilités

• Own recruiting from start to finish: define roles, source candidates, run interviews, gather feedback, and move offers to acceptance.
• Build targeted candidate pipelines through outreach, referrals and relationships.
• Create role scorecards, practical assessments and consistent interview processes to speed up decisions.
• Deliver a strong candidate experience with timely updates and high-touch interactions.
• Help close hires by communicating the opportunity clearly and negotiating offers with founders.
• Build onboarding processes and ownership of day-one readiness for new hires.
• Oversee day-to-day people operations in Rippling, including records, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and offboarding.
