Job summary

JetSET Pilates is opening a new boutique studio and seeks a Founding General Manager to build from the ground up. This role partners with ownership to recruit and develop the team, drive community excitement, and establish operational excellence for a successful launch.

Post-launch, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, grow memberships, and nurture client experiences. You’ll complete the Instructor Training Academy and coach a high-performing team across the studio.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operations or general management experience, ideally in boutique fitness, hospitality, or a luxury membership-model consumer service environment.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams—ideally across multiple locations or in a pre-opening context.
• Demonstrated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit—you take initiative, solve problems proactively, and thrive in environments where the playbook is still being written.
• Strong sales instincts with experience driving revenue targets and coaching others to do the same.
• Highly analytical—comfortable building reports, interpreting data, and making decisions backed by metrics.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities without losing momentum.
• Outstanding communicator who genuinely connects with people and makes every client and team member feel seen and valued.
• Hands-on experience in a fitness instruction or coaching capacity is strongly preferred.
• Passion for community building and an understanding of the local wellness, fitness, and hospitality community is strongly preferred.
• Ability to commit to travel for a 5-day Instructor training at one of our Regional Training & Support Centers.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the studio for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Lead Community Building & Studio Launch through local marketing, partnerships, and pre-sale momentum.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop the founding Instructor and Studio Lead team before opening; drive onboarding and training.
• Establish studio launch readiness with operations processes, staffing plans, and schedules; ensure flawless opening day execution.
• Drive founding membership sales and execute pre-sale campaigns; coach the team on consultative sales approaches.
• Provide regular updates to ownership on launch readiness and business performance; identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
