Job summary

Hand & Stone Franchise Corp. is opening a brand-new Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Wesley Chapel/Weddington, NC, seeking a Founding Spa Manager to build the team, set culture, grow membership, and establish standards that will shape the spa’s future.

You will lead sales-driven operations, recruit and develop staff, and ensure an exceptional guest experience while achieving service, retail, and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of management experience in spa, salon, fitness, wellness, retail, hospitality, or other service or membership-based business.
• Demonstrated success leading a sales-driven team.
• Experience coaching employees toward measurable goals and KPIs.
• Strong recruiting, training, and team-development skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in achieving membership, service, retail, and revenue goals.
• Coach the front-d desk team to improve membership conversions, upgrades, rebooking, and retention.
• Build a strong membership culture focused on acquisition and long-term member relationships.
• Drive service-provider utilization through scheduling, memberships and sales initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs, identify opportunities, and create action plans to improve performance.
• Take ownership of key business results, including sales, labor, revenue, and profitability.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Establish a positive culture built around accountability, teamwork, growth, and exceptional service.
• Set clear expectations and coach employees toward measurable goals.
• Recognize strong performance and address gaps promptly and professionally.
• Create an environment where talented people want to stay, perform, and grow.
• Set the standard for guest experience and build relationships with members and guests.
• Resolve concerns professionally with a solutions-focused approach.
• Oversee daily spa operations, staffing, scheduling, and company standards.
• Optimize staffing to support guest demand and business performance.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming environment.
• Ensure policies and standards are followed and data informs decisions.
