Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of South Akron is seeking a Senior HVAC Installer to join the founding team. You will diagnose, repair, and install residential HVAC systems, mentor junior technicians, and help set service standards as the location grows.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, EPA 608, and a proven ability to train others. This full-time role offers competitive pay ($30-$45/hour), benefits, and opportunities for advancement in a growing franchise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC service/repair experience.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Ability to train and mentor less experienced technicians.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Deep knowledge of electrical, refrigeration and gas systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, ACs, and ductwork.
• Handle complex service calls including escalated diagnostics.
• Perform routine maintenance and install HVAC equipment as needed.
• Mentor and coach newer technicians and apprentices.
• Train incoming teammates on standards, safety, and service expectations.
• Communicate clearly with customers about issues and options.
• Maintain accurate service records and parts used.
• Follow safety protocols and local/state codes.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Keep service vehicle stocked, organized and maintained.
