Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of South Akron is hiring a Senior HVAC Service Manager to help build a new franchise in Akron, OH. You will be part of the founding team, set service standards, mentor technicians, and lead complex repairs while ensuring top customer service.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to train others. This full-time position offers a competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on HVAC service/repair experience
• EPA 608 Certification required
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Ability to mentor technicians
• Deep knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, and gas systems
• Excellent customer service and communication
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in tight spaces

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ductwork on residential systems
• Handle complex service calls, second opinions, and escalated diagnostics
• Perform routine maintenance and install new HVAC equipment as needed
• Mentor and coach newer technicians and apprentices
• Train incoming team members on standards, safety, and customer service
• Communicate with customers about issues, options, and pricing
• Maintain accurate service records of work performed and parts used
• Follow safety protocols and local/state code requirements
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls
• Keep service vehicle stocked and organized
