Job summary

Zen Media & Optimum7 is seeking a Founding Sales Manager (Player-Coach) to own revenue, close deals personally, and scale a high-performing sales organization. The role is remote with Florida preference and aligned to U.S. business hours.

You will run the sales process initially, then recruit and develop Sales Closers and outbound SDRs to drive growth. Responsibilities include owning the full sales cycle, refining messaging, forecasting, and building repeatable processes across both brands.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of B2B sales experience, including 3+ years in sales leadership.
• Proven track record of exceeding quotas and personally closing deals.
• Experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing sales representatives.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on, end-to-end sales ownership from discovery to close.
• Hire, train, and manage Sales Closers and outbound SDRs.
• Optimize messaging, follow-ups, pipeline, and forecasting across both brands.
• Own team revenue targets and drive upsells/account expansion.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Account Management, GTM Engineering, and CEO to improve lead quality and revenue.
