Job summary

Zen Media & Optimum7 is seeking a Founding Sales Manager (player-coach) in Florida or remote aligned to US hours. You will own the revenue engine, close deals, and build a high-performing team.

You'll start hands-on, later hire and develop Sales Closers and SDRs, optimize GTM workflows, and lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Account Management, and the CEO to drive growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven track record of exceeding quotas and closing deals personally.
• Experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing sales reps.
• Strong expertise in outbound prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and pipeline development.
• Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) and sales metrics.
• Ability to build scalable sales processes, playbooks, and performance standards.
• Strong analytical skills, ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from discovery to closing and document bottlenecks.
• Hire, train, and manage Sales Closers and outbound SDRs; set targets and coach.
• Optimize messaging, follow-ups, conversion rates, pipeline, and forecasting for both brands.
• Drive revenue growth; convert early projects into monthly retainers and upsell.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Account Management, GTM Engineering, and CEO to raise lead quality.
• Track KPIs and provide regular performance reports to leadership.
