Job summary

Moritz is seeking a Founding Product Designer to own the entire product experience. You will be the first design hire, defining how an AI-native legal platform looks and feels, shaping product direction, the design system, and the design culture alongside the founders.

You will craft end-to-end experiences, translate complex legal workflows into intuitive interfaces, and collaborate closely with engineers to ship premium designs. This role offers high autonomy and growth toward Head of Design.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing digital products with a world-class portfolio.
• Experience designing complex workflows, dashboards, or B2B tools.
• Strong visual and interaction design with attention to 1px details.
• Excellent communication to defend design decisions with founders and engineers.
• Proficient in Figma and modern design tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design for Moritz's AI-powered platform — from information architecture and user journeys to high-fidelity UI.
• Translate dense legal workflows into clear, elegant interaction patterns.
• Build and own Moritz's design system and component library from the ground up.
• Prototype fast — in Figma or in code — and iterate on real user feedback.
• Partner with engineers to ship pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces.
• Shape product direction with founders and lead customer discovery with lawyers and clients.
