Job summary

Axon is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to own system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and power domains. You’ll lead as a founding leader within the Axon 911 hardware team, defining standards and driving cross-functional design decisions for scalable, production-ready devices.

You’ll partner with EE, RF, SW, and ME leads to shape requirements, balance constraints, and ensure integration from concept through certification and ramp.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience with deep expertise in multiple domains.
• Proven track record owning system architecture for complex hardware.
• Experience bringing compact, battery-powered hardware from concept to mass production.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture spanning electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and power domains.
• Define standards, architecture, and engineering processes for Axon 911 hardware.
• Lead cross-disciplinary reviews and drive risk mitigation and verification strategies.
