Job summary

Success Academy in Florida is hiring founding teachers to establish a high-expectation charter school culture in Miami. As a founding team member, you will contribute to building the curriculum, routines, and community from day one, while receiving world-class coaching and development to advance into leadership roles.

Fluency in Spanish and English is required, with a bachelor’s degree and a strong commitment to student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree before your first day; background in education not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for learning and commitment to student development.
• Ability to work in person in Miami, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues and leaders and actively seek and apply feedback to strengthen instruction and student outcomes.
• Promote SA’s Adult Winning Culture by demonstrating professionalism, ownership and a focus on preparing students for success in school, college and life.
• Engage and invest families in students’ academic growth and behavior through productive communication.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students and create a classroom culture of joy, rigor and high expectations.
• Deeply study the SA curriculum, deliver rigorous instruction and read course texts to understand content expectations.
• Regularly study student work and assessment data to evaluate learning and provide timely feedback.
• Lead and manage a classroom of 25+ students and establish routines to maximize learning.
