Job summary

Atomic seeks an AI engineer who will own building the industry-specific GPT, embedding AI-native functionality into our AI-native system of record, and moving legacy datasets into ai-native workflows. You will lead as a hands-on builder and a player-coach for engineers at client sites.

You will ship production-grade AI solutions, design evaluative infrastructure, and guide when to fine-tune, prompt, or apply RAG.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production AI/LLM harnesses.
• Experience deploying models to customer data and business workflows.
• Strong defendable stance on fine-tune vs prompt vs RAG vs harness.

Responsibilities

• Ship a working domain-specific agent into a live customer environment in your first 30 days.
• Build the eval infrastructure that measures whether agents replace human workflows.
• Fine-tune, distill, or route across frontier + open models depending on vertical economics.
• Sit with customers, observe workflows, instrument and rebuild them.
• Write the AI engineering playbook for future portfolio companies.
