Job summary

Atomic is seeking a hands-on AI engineer to build industry-specific AI agents and integrate AI-native workflows across portfolio companies. You’ll travel to customer sites, understand business needs, and deliver production-grade AI capabilities that replace legacy processes.

You will lead the technical implementation, evaluate models, and drive repeatable playbooks to scale across multiple acquisitions, shipping real products with real customers.

Responsibilities

• Ship a domain-specific agent into a live customer environment in your first 30 days
• Build the eval infrastructure to measure whether agents replace human workflows
• Fine-tune, distill, or route across frontier + open models depending on economics
• Sit with customers, observe workflows, and rebuild them
• Write the AI engineering playbook that future portfolio companies inherit
