Job summary

Morgan Pinnacle Group is seeking a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to lead AI-powered platform deployments in enterprise settings. You will own data access, schema mapping, and production delivery for multiple customers.

You will translate business logic into validated SQL queries, build semantic data layers, and develop end-to-end data pipelines and agent workflows, working hands-on in client environments.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in forward deployed or closely related customer-facing roles.
• Experience owning end-to-end deployments involving data access, schema mapping, and value validation.
• Deep SQL and data-warehouse fluency; navigate messy/undocumented schemas independently.
• Experience with dbt and production data systems; building production-grade pipelines.
• Strong Python programming skills for writing, debugging, and deploying production systems.
• AI-native working style; regular use of Claude or Cursor.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into reliable technical systems and data models.
• Excellent customer-facing communication; defend decisions under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, data science, statistics, or related quantitative STEM.
• Experience at recognizable tech/data/consulting/financial services organizations; at least one indicator.
• Willingness to work on-site in New York City five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise deployments from data access to production launch and measurable value.
• Map complex or legacy schemas to business concepts like churn and ARR.
• Interview stakeholders to understand business logic and translate into validated SQL.
• Build and validate semantic and ontology layers powering AI agents.
• Develop and maintain production data pipelines and agent workflows.
• Write code and deploy systems with minimal oversight.
• Monitor workflows and ensure measurable customer outcomes.
• Manage multiple customer engagements with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to internal tooling, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails.
• Balance customer communication with detailed technical execution (70–80% hands-on).
