Job summary

Recruiting From Scratch seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer in New York City. You will embed on-site with acquired engineering firms, own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production, and build AI-powered workflows in real customer environments.

You'll tackle zero-to-one initiatives, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with founders, and shape platform capabilities across multiple firms. Visa sponsorship is available; equity-rich, fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience owning technical projects from discovery through production deployment.
• Experience working directly with customers or end users.
• Experience building and shipping production software.
• Experience operating in early-stage startups or autonomous environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed on-site with acquired firms to understand workflows and challenges.
• Build relationships with users and identify leverage points for automation.
• Own end-to-end deployment lifecycle from discovery to production.
• Develop AI-powered workflows using LLMs and AI frameworks.
• Build integrations with enterprise software systems.
• Design, build, and deploy production software in customer environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform strategy.
