Job summary

Recruits Lab is seeking a founding Forward Deployed Engineer to deploy agentic AI systems for enterprise customers in mission-critical workflows. You will lead deployments from discovery through production and work onsite in the NY/NJ area, collaborating with the founding team to shape product strategy and best practices.

Responsibilities include building agentic AI systems with tool calling, planning, memory, and human-in-the-loop workflows, as well as integrating with Slack, Salesforce,

Qualifications

• Shipping production agentic AI systems.
• Tool use, planning, persistent memory/state, and workflow orchestration.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript engineering skills.
• Evaluating LLM performance using benchmarks or automated tests.
• Production engineering with observability, logging, tracing, debugging, rollbacks, reliability.
• APIs and enterprise software integration experience.
• Customer-facing engineering mindset with strong communication.
• Onsite work in New York or New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise deployments from discovery through production.
• Design and build agentic AI systems with tool calling, planning, memory, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Integrate with enterprise platforms (Slack, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SQL, Jira, SharePoint, internal systems).
• Build evaluation frameworks, monitoring, observability, and production tooling.
• Debug complex production failures involving LLM behavior and orchestration.
• Collaborate with founders to shape product strategy and deployment best practices.
