This isn’t your typical Account Executive role. As a Founding Account Executive, you will be instrumental in shaping our sales approach and scaling our growth. You will be responsible for prospecting and lead generation, engaging with and closing sales opportunities with companies looking to leverage AWS for secure migrations, modern application development, DevOps/DevSecOps, compliance adherence (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, CMMC 2.0), ensuring customer success and renewals, and more. Responsibilities
  • Proactively source, identify, and engage with prospective clients, building a robust pipeline of opportunities for HanaByte’s AWS and cybersecurity services.
  • Effectively engage with and close deals from a consistent stream of qualified leads provided by HanaByte’s lead generation partners and internal marketing efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their evolving business needs and challenges.
  • Articulate and present compelling value propositions for HanaByte’s solutions, including secure cloud migrations, modern application development, DevSecOps, security assessments, and compliance advisory services.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle for both inbound and outbound leads from initial contact and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Work closely with HanaByte’s technical delivery team to ensure proposed solutions align with client requirements and can be successfully delivered.
  • Stay informed about recent cloud provider innovations, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and compliance changes to position HanaByte’s offerings effectively.
  • Accurately track sales activities, manage pipeline, and provide regular forecasts using CRM tools such as HubSpot and Apollo.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to maximize customer satisfaction, identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and drive revenue growth within assigned accounts.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing HanaByte at industry events, webinars, and conferences.
  • Initiate and collaborate with the Marketing team for campaigns and write sales material.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but not required if experience matches. Certification(s) in cybersecurity are a huge plus.
  • 3+ years of direct sales or business development experience in the IT services or cloud computing industry, with a strong focus on AWS, Google Cloud, or Security solutions.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate technical details of cybersecurity products or services.
  • Experience selling complex solutions and engaging with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, HIPAA), and their relevance in cloud environments.
  • Exceptional internal and external communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and a results-oriented mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to acquire both AWS and Google Cloud Accreditations and Certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader, Google Cloud Generative AI Leader).
