Job summary

Veit is seeking a Superintendent/Foreman for Foundations to oversee daily site activities, manage crews, and coordinate with general superintendents on workforce and equipment needs. This role requires strong safety focus and adherence to project timelines and budgets.

The position involves daily safety meetings, reviewing plans and specifications, and ensuring compliance with Veit policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience overseeing a crew for deep foundation installations.
• Experience with piles, caissons, micropiles, or helix piles.
• OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and contracts.
• Strong communication and scheduling abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activities ensuring safety, design, budget, and schedule.
• Directly manage lead personnel and staff on each project site.
• Coordinate with general superintendents on workforce and equipment needs.
• Schedule subcontractors and monitor work per contracts.
• Maintain daily records and reports on safety and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Veit policies and federal/local laws.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and site briefings.
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
