Job summary

The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) in New York seeks a Foundation Relations Officer to lead its institutional fundraising program. You will manage foundation relationships, research funding opportunities, develop grants and reports, and coordinate fundraising strategies across departments.

Reporting to the Director of Development, you will collaborate with grant writers, programme staff, finance, and management to advance CCR’s mission and social justice initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of development experience, including five years in institutional fundraising.
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong digital skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to CCR’s mission and social justice.

Responsibilities

• Research prospective foundation funders and prepare proposals and reports.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundation donors.
• Coordinate foundation stewardship and ensure grant administration and compliance.
• Collaborate with finance and programme staff on budgets and fundraising projections.
• Develop annual foundation work plans and track foundation meetings.
