Job summary

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Manager, Foundation Relations (Institutional Giving) to lead and grow BCRF’s foundations and institutional philanthropy. The role reports to the Director, Foundation Relations and collaborates across teams to develop compelling proposals and funder reports.

Based onsite in New York with a minimum three days per week on site, you will manage a growing portfolio, cultivate new prospects, and help shape a long-term

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of grant writing and private foundation/institutional giving experience.
• Excellent written, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience with CRM/donor databases (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Bloomerang, EveryAction or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple proposals, reports, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong research and analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information into fundraising strategy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build productive relationships with colleagues, funders and other external partners.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, solicit, and steward foundation and institutional donors and prospects.
• Identify and qualify prospective private, family, corporate funders aligned with BCRF's mission.
• Prepare briefing materials and participate in funder meetings, scientific briefings and site visits.
• Monitor philanthropic trends and identify new funding opportunities for BCRF.
• Project manage proposal and reporting processes across teams and build a library of evergreen materials.
• Track portfolio activity and key performance indicators for fundraising goals.
