Job summary

UW-Stevens Point is seeking a Fostering Success Peer Coach to support students in the Fostering Success Program. The role includes regular meetings, coordinating events, and linking students to campus and community resources provided by the SET department.

You will work up to 10 hours weekly, with priority for Work-Study eligibility, and you’ll report to the LEAD/FSP Coordinator. Candidates should be part-time UWSP students in good standing.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled at UWSP at least part-time (minimum of 6 credits).
• In good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA).
• Knowledge of UWSP campus resources relevant to students with lived experience in foster care OR willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with LEAD/FSP Programs Coordinator.
• Engage with a mentee caseload of 10–15 students via in-person/virtual/email/phone communications.
• Be available to work up to 10 hours per week across SSC office hours and field activities.
• Plan, promote, market and execute events; connect students to SET staff and community resources.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Student Success Center during hours.
• Complete administrative tasks and documentation in Navigate and other programs.
