Job summary

UWSP University of Wisconsin Stevens Point is seeking a Supplemental Instruction Student Leader to support tutoring services for STEM disciplines. The role is a student hourly position requiring strong grasp of course material and the ability to help peers develop study skills.

You must have completed at least one UWSP semester with two semesters remaining, maintain a 3.0 GPA or better or secure a faculty recommendation, and be available for at least two semesters.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least one UWSP semester with two semesters remaining.
• GPA 3.0+ and/or faculty recommendation letter.
• Available to tutor for at least two semesters.
• Willing to work with peers in a collaborative, inclusive learning environment.
• Enjoy helping others learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and support in one of our service areas.
• Assist learners in the development of effective study skills and test-taking strategies.
• Learn and continually apply TLC and tutoring program procedures.
• Regularly check staff email and communicate with other staff members.
• Attend required orientations, meetings, and training sessions.
