Job summary

The FFWS Peer Mentor at UW-Stevens Point serves as a campus contact for FFWS grant recipients, with emphasis on first-year and new transfer recipients. Under supervision, the mentor organizes information and community-building activities, while demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills to support peers.

You should be a junior or senior at UWSP (sophomore considered) with good academic standing and prior FFWS involvement preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior or senior at UWSP; Sophomore may be considered.
• Must have maintained FFWS grant since first semester at UWSP.
• GPA 2.0 or higher (2.5+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Organize information, materials, and scholar community activities.
• Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Be reliable and responsible; commit to ~5 hours per week.
• Support FFWS grant recipients and promote peer engagement.
