UW-Stevens Point is offering 2026-2027 LEAD Peer Mentor / Graduate Internship positions within the Student Experience and Transformation department at the Student Success Center in Stevens Point, WI. Roles are student hourly with flexible summer hours and ongoing academic-year commitments.

Compensation starts at $14 per hour, with some remote work possible; positions include Peer Mentor and Graduate Internship, up to 30 hours per week during peak weeks and 5–10 hours weekly during the academic

Qualifications

Must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credits or more) for both 2026-2027 Fall/Spring Semesters.
Sophomore standing or higher.
Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Knowledgeable about UWSP Campus resources and student support services.

Responsibilities

Interact with incoming LEAD cohort of 60–100 first-year, low-income and/or first-generation students during the week before Fall 2026 semester.
Serve as an assigned peer mentor and meet with regularly up to 10 individual incoming LEAD students throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
Attend all meetings and mandatory trainings/orientation before the program begins, as well as mandatory monthly staff meetings throughout the academic year.
Plan, prep, attend, and escort students to regularly scheduled recreational activities and trips.
Facilitate and lead both small and large group discussions.
Uphold required procedures and enforce program and University rules.
Respond to medical emergencies and manage unexpected occurrences.
Demonstrate responsible leadership to ensure program goals are met.
