Job summary

Good Shepherd Services in New York seeks a dynamic Case Planner to advance timely permanency planning for children in foster care. You will work with families, foster parents, and youth to coordinate services and visits.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field; MSW or related experience preferred. This in-office/field hybrid position reports to the Foster Care Supervisor and offers a salary range of $50,000–$55,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
• MSW or at least one year related experience preferred.
• Must establish working relationships with clients in need of counseling and supportive services.
• Must be able to engage parents effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with agency supervisors and KEEP/PTC/YDSC teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess safety and risk for children in care.
• Establish contact with families and foster families.
• Conduct required casework contacts with child, parent, and collateral contacts.
• Visit family and child to gather social history and assess needs.
• Coordinate and supervise all visits between family and child.
• Keep case records up to date and complete ACS/Agency documentation.
