Bethany Christian Services in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to support foster care recruitment and licensing processes. You will work closely with prospective foster families, coordinate orientations, conduct file reviews, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Human Services, with a Master’s preferred, strong interviewing and assessment skills, and ability to provide compassionate customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited college.
• Master’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Experience in foster care or child welfare is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with high initiative.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and follow-through of recruitment techniques for foster parents.
• Facilitate orientation sessions throughout the year.
• Audit prospective family files for paperwork validity.
• Review foster home files for licensing requirements.
• Coordinate an efficient orientation for prospective foster parents.
• Work with prospective foster parents through screening and licensing.
• Monitor relicensing of foster homes within the program.
• Coordinate referrals to ensure appropriate placements.
• Serve as liaison to caseworkers and supervisors.
• Inform caseworkers on licensing and placement regulations.
• Assist with training and recruitment events.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
