Overjoy in New York City is seeking a senior Retail Execution lead to partner with consumer brands, brokers, distributors, and field teams to drive in-store presence and timely reorder.
You will design AI-assisted workflows, translate store signals into action, and own multi-store programs across accounts, delivering measurable milestones and improved retail performance.
Overjoy is an AI-native sales company for SMBs. We began as a sales platform for consumer brands, then expanded to running the full sales process end-to-end and selling the outcome.
Every consumer brand needs a wholesale department: someone to find the right retailers, reach out, close the account, and keep it reordering. For most brands that department is too expensive to hire. Overjoy runs it for them with people, AI agents, and the software we spent years building for exactly this job.
Over 800 brands like Nature's Path, Milk Bar, and Simply Gum use Overjoy to grow wholesale revenue.
We're backed by Bessemer, OSV, Floodgate and founders of Thumbtack, CareRev, Ando, and Unsupervised — and 6 of our own customers invested after using the product.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in New York City.
Winning a retail account is only the beginning. Products still need to reach the right stores, stay on shelf, support promotions, and earn the next reorder. You'll work directly with consumer brands to make that happen.
You'll own retail execution programs across customer engagements, connecting brand teams, brokers, distributors, and field partners. Alongside product and engineering, you'll turn store-level signals and operating know-how into AI-assisted workflows that help brands identify problems early and follow through on the right actions.
Build execution plans for retail launches, assortment changes, promotions, and ongoing store coverage, with clear owners and measurable milestones.
Combine point-of-sale data, retailer portals, distributor reports, and field observations to identify availability gaps, pricing errors, missed displays, and weak sell-through.
Coordinate with brand teams, brokers, merchandisers, distributors, and retailer contacts to resolve issues and confirm completion.
Create account and store scorecards tracking distribution, on-shelf availability, sales velocity, promotional execution, and reorder performance.
Translate execution playbooks into AI-assisted monitoring, task prioritization, and follow-up workflows; validate recommendations against store and account context.
Lead customer operating reviews and feed repeated execution problems into product requirements, measuring whether interventions improve retail performance.
6+ years in CPG retail execution, retail operations, trade marketing, or customer development, with ownership of multi-store or multi-account programs.
Practical experience working with retailers, distributors, brokers, or field merchandising teams.
Ability to analyze point-of-sale and distribution data and distinguish an execution problem from a demand or supply problem.
Experience with retail launches, promotional calendars, merchandising standards, and account-level performance reviews.
Clear communication, strong follow-through, and comfort managing several customer workstreams in a fast-moving environment.
Experience improving operations with AI, automation, dashboards, or retail execution software; familiarity with syndicated retail data is a plus.
Annual base salary of $150,000–$180,000 USD, based on relevant experience and role-related skills.
Health, dental, and vision insurance (U.S.).
Free lunch.
The opportunity to shape a new role at the intersection of domain expertise, customer outcomes, and AI.
