Job summary

Futran Solutions in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade software solutions. The role partners with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable, secure applications that drive measurable outcomes.

You will lead development across backend and frontend stacks, build REST APIs and microservices, work with AWS and data platforms, mentor engineers, and coordinate across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.
• Proficient in Python.
• Experience developing modern web apps using React and/or Next.js.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience working with enterprise databases (Snowflake, Databricks, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
• Designing scalable, secure, maintainable enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and Agile development.
• Proven experience collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver tech solutions.
• Experience mentoring engineers and coordinating distributed teams.
• Prior experience in Financial Services is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise apps using modern backend/frontend tech.
• Build REST APIs, backend services, and data integration solutions.
• Develop POCs and iterate solutions based on business feedback.
• Create AI-enabled features leveraging LLMs and RAG techniques.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams across the lifecycle.
• Ensure enterprise standards for scalability, security, and performance.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and promote engineering best practices.
• Coordinate technical delivery across distributed teams.
• Document designs and communicate progress to stakeholders.
