Job summary

Leadout Capital seeks a highly experienced Forward Deployed Engineer for government-facing missions. You will deliver end-to-end data science pipelines, API-led integrations, and bespoke automation directly at customer sites across defense, intelligence, and aerospace domains.

You will architect and implement production ML and analytics solutions, partner with mission owners, and advance secure data platforms in regulated environments. This role requires travel and a US clearance path.

Qualifications

8+ years delivering scalable production solutions.
Strong CS/DS engineering background.
Expert Python and/or Java in professional setting.
Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Experience with Regrello for orchestration.
Experience with LLM-augmented solutions.
Willingness to travel 50-75% to customer sites, including classified facilities.
U.S. citizen ready for clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

Serve as forward-deployed technical lead on customer engagements.
Architect enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft or iPaaS tooling.
Design and deploy workflow automation using Regrello or similar orchestration tooling.
Lead integration of AI/ML models and data pipelines.
Coordinate with security teams for ATO and production go-lives.
Mentor junior FDEs and share lessons learned with the team.
Translate mission priorities into data/integration roadmaps for stakeholders.
