You will be the technical face of the company, combining engineering, customer engagement, and project management, with opportunities to expand customer relationships and drive successful deployments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering field.
1+ year of manufacturing or factory floor experience.
Experience in food & beverage or process industries.
Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
Experience supporting industrial automation or manufacturing systems.
Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.

We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for a full-time opportunity based in Somerville, MA. This role is with a rapidly growing venture-backed technology startup developing AI-powered industrial automation solutions for the manufacturing sector. You'll work directly with enterprise customers, deploying cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies that leverage AI, IoT, sensors, cloud connectivity, and real-time data analytics to optimize production processes across food and beverage manufacturing facilities.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
1+ years of manufacturing or factory floor experience
Experience within food & beverage, chemicals, brewing, dairy, pharmaceutical, or other process manufacturing industries
Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
Experience supporting industrial automation or manufacturing systems
Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies
Experience working with IT/OT environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel up to 50%
