Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for a fast-growing startup in Boston, MA. The role supports deployments across the Food & Beverage sector, working on factory floors with AI and IoT-driven technology to optimize performance and sustainability.

You will combine hands-on engineering, customer engagement, and project coordination, with 3 days per week onsite and up to 50% travel. A passion for industrial automation and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field is required.
• 1+ year hands-on manufacturing or factory experience (food & beverage, chemicals, pharma, etc.) is required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders.
• Exposure to industrial systems such as PLCs, sensors, or plant operations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% is required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on on-site deployments and troubleshooting.
• Project coordination and pilot execution.
• Team collaboration with customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Data analysis and visualization to support deployments.
