Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers, architect solutions on the Databricks platform, and deliver end-to-end data, AI, and application layers.

You will own design decisions, guide deployments, and train teams while balancing technical excellence with business impact. You will embed with customer teams, drive production-grade implementations, and contribute reusable accelerators while collaborating with engineering, product, and support to maximize value

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Design and deployment of end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user interfaces.
• Experience with technical project delivery and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead impactful customer technical projects delivering production-grade systems and reference architectures.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build, and deployment of data and AI applications.
• Bootstrap or implement customer projects to ensure successful adoption of Databricks solutions.
• Lead architecture and design decisions ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, project managers, and customer teams to ensure timely delivery of technical components.
• Provide feedback and guide rapid resolution for engagement-specific product and support issues.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
• Develop accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and influence product roadmap.
