Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Architect to lead end-to-end data and AI solution delivery for enterprise customers. You will own the architecture, guide design decisions, and implement scalable, secure systems across data engineering, AI, and application development.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, customer empathy, and collaboration with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure measurable outcomes and rapid adoption of Databricks-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive data engineering or software engineering experience.
• Two+ cloud platforms knowledge with at least one deep.
• Deep experience with Apache Spark and Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps and ML/AI models.
• Able to design end-to-end data architectures with data pipelines, ML models, and user interfaces.
• Experience delivering technical projects with scoped timelines and measurable outcomes.
• Willingness to travel ~20% to customer sites.
• Databricks Certification desirable.

Responsibilities
