Job summary

Mphasis seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge business challenges and technology with AI-assisted engineering, automation, and modern software delivery practices.

The role collaborates with customers to translate requirements into scalable solutions, leveraging AI-native methods, agentic SDLC, and automation to accelerate delivery while upholding enterprise-grade governance and security.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python with ability to review and optimize AI-generated code.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor).
• Experience with Spec-Driven Development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, and modern architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent test frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to translate business problems into technology solutions.
• Design, generate and validate AI-generated code and artifacts for enterprise applications.
• Apply prompt and context engineering to improve solution outcomes.
• Review AI-generated artifacts including requirements, design, code, and specs.
• Review AI-generated tests and Playwright scripts for quality and coverage.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
• Build agentic workflows, automation pipelines, and productivity tooling.
• Develop prototypes, PoCs, and production-ready implementations.
• Support customer engagements, workshops, and solution consulting activities.
