Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions inside customer environments. You’ll work in an agile pod, connect advanced AI agents to the enterprise tech stack, and write production code for real-time data grounding and multi-agent coordination.

You will integrate Agentforce with Salesforce Data Cloud, ERP systems, and cloud warehouses, using modern AI tools and MCP-based protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery with at least one production AI or data integration system.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on AI grounding: LLM orchestration, prompts, and RAG pipelines.
• API design + modern agent protocols (MCP, tool calling, or event-driven messaging).
• Middleware like MuleSoft to connect AI agents with ERP systems.
• Data modeling, schema design, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Ability to whiteboard architecture with enterprise leaders while coding.
• Familiar with automation platforms and enterprise AI/agent ecosystems.
• Experience with integrated apps and deployment infra (Kafka, AWS/EventBridge, Azure Service Bus, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Knowledge of data governance, master data systems, and operational execution platforms.
• Understanding of enterprise security: IAM, OAuth, data privacy, audit logging.
• Willingness to travel 25-30% for on-site deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and optimize complex operational workflows using Agentforce.
• Implement agent communication standards and MCP for cross-agent task hand-offs.
• Architect real-time grounding systems with RAG, vector stores, and knowledge bases.
• Develop APIs and integration pipelines to Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, and ERPs via MuleSoft or custom middleware.
• Leverage AI tools within daily development to move from design to production quickly.
• Ship telemetry and dashboards to monitor health, triggers, and outcomes.
• Bridge frontline deployments with product/engineering to feed improvements.
