Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in the Identity Platform space to provide technical leadership on security engagements. You will read, review, and make design calls based on how the system works in real environments, not just on decks.

Travel may be required as engagements differ and client needs vary. You'll be in rooms with client principal engineers, deciding what to build versus buy, and growing the team through mentorship and hands-on guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on technical work within the last 24 months, counting development, prototyping, code review, or technical design review.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional development in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java, or C+.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for an engagement, including the decisions you'll be held to when they're wrong.
• Set the technical direction for engineers on your engagement and review their code.
• Reverse-engineer how identity works in a client environment and design the target state.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas as needed.
• Grow the engineers around you by working alongside them.
