Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work on the identity platform within our security group. The role blends hands-on coding with client-facing problem solving, spanning authorization, credentialing, and authentication in complex environments.

You will build end-to-end components, prototype against emerging standards, and contribute to internal tools and reference implementations while communicating technical designs to client teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on recent development experience in multiple languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, PKI or mTLS is a plus.
• Identity and access management experience is valued.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship services in the agentic identity stack: authorization engines and authentication layers.
• Own a component end to end: design, implement, deploy, and operate it.
• Reverse-engineer identity behavior in client environments and design improvements.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas, often before docs exist.
• Create internal tooling and reference implementations used by the practice.
• Explain designs to client engineers and address feedback with clarity.
