Job summary

Accenture Forward Deployed Engineer, Identity Platform, leads technical design and architecture in client environments. You will read, review, and make design calls based on deep system understanding rather than decks.

This role emphasizes leadership without daily coding, with exposure to AI agents and identity primitives in production deployments. Travel may be required; you will work closely with enterprise clients, set engineering direction, mentor teammates, and ensure robust security

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on technical work within the last 24 months, counting development, prototyping, code review, or design review.
• Minimum of 4 years in at least one of Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java, or C+.
• Minimum of 4 years designing and building concurrent or distributed systems that ran in production.
• Minimum of 3 years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical leadership of at least 2 engineers, including code review and design review responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or minimum 12 years work experience; Associate's degree requires 6 years work experience.
• Professional Skills Requirements: client-facing or consulting experience, ability to explain complex tech to non-tech stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for engagements and be accountable for decisions.
• Review implementation and prototype in the agentic identity stack when needed.
• Set the technical direction and review engineers' code on engagements.
• Reverse-engineer identity in client environments and design the target state.
• Make build-versus-buy calls and document rationale for sustainability after project end.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas; contribute to reference implementations.
• Grow engineers on the team by working alongside them rather than distant reviews.
