Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for its Identity Platform. This hands-on technical role requires building end-to-end identity solutions, writing production code, and working directly with clients to deploy secure authentication and authorization components.

Expect to design, implement, and deploy critical identity services, prototype against emerging standards, and collaborate with client engineers. Travel may be required based on project needs and client requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on technical work within the last 18 months (production development, prototyping, or code review).
• 2+ years of professional development in Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java, or C+.
• 2+ years building concurrent or distributed systems in production.
• 2+ years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containers and CI/CD.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) OR ≥12 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship services in the agentic identity stack: authorization engines, agent registries, credential brokers, and authentication layers for MCP servers.
• Own a component end to end: design, implementation, deployment, and failure handling.
• Reverse-engineer how identity works in client environments and design improvements.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas, often before documentation exists.
• Build internal tooling and reference implementations reused by the practice.
• Explain designs to a client's engineers and defend against pushback.
