Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to provide fire protection engineering support for federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas. You will serve as SME for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and applicable codes.

Responsibilities include design reviews, inspections, QA, submittal reviews, acceptance testing, and coordination with project teams through all construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum of five years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• USACE or federal project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards for fire protection.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure successful fire protection features.
• Perform reviews, inspections, QA, submittals, and acceptance testing.
• Provide guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
• Assist project managers and government personnel as a fire-safety consultant.
