Job summary

Corning Environmental Technologies is seeking a Forming Process Engineer to join its Diesel Manufacturing Plant. You will apply hands-on process engineering to drive continuous improvement, reduce manufacturing variability, and support new product introductions, impacting product quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include leading DOE/DMAIC projects, fault diagnosis, and training operators, with a focus on cost reduction and process stability in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or technical degree required.
• 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience applying root cause analysis and process problem-solving in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support continuous improvement, defect reduction, and variability reduction projects using DOE and DMAIC.
• Diagnose and resolve manufacturing process, material, and equipment issues.
• Support new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, and training.
• Apply statistical analysis to improve repeatability of forming process steps.
• Build expertise in forming process areas and execute cost reduction projects.
